Description: Incredible CSGO frag movie featuring amazing song by Ado
Notes by editor:
I guess I still do have time for editing after all… I’ve been following Ado for quite some time before she released this absolute gem of a song (or rather, a cover) and when I listened to it for the first time I was like "yo what the fuck, I'm so editing to that", and yeah, here I am lol.
One unfortunate thing though, this edit is very much rushed. Now, I REALLY hate saying this, because it feels like dropping an excuse, a shield that makes you invulnerable to any sort of criticism, but it really is rushed. I had to switch computers sometime around making sfx and I wanted to spend more time on adjusting things and re-rendering (as I usually do), but because of massive issues with transferring giant, laggy project files between the two computers, I decided to quickly finish it on my old pc and be done with it. Editing with exr depth files also didn’t help (ayy, 800gb edit, let’s go), they just absolutely refused to work on my new laptop. It could've been better, it should've been better, but it is what it is.
Another thing I wanted to rant about is how editing has become kind of dull for me. All my editor friends moved on or barely touch editing these days. There's nothing to be excited about, no new ideas to experiment with. Whenever I make something cool, I just kind of leave it be until it finds itself in the finished project. I remember sending previews for ops left and right what, like, 2 years ago, being constantly excited to see what people have to say about them. Nowadays, editing feels like a chore sometimes. I still enjoy it, but the excitement part of it is gone. I start a project, I procrastinate on it, I force myself to finish it, I upload, get 1000 views and that's about it, not a lot of impact on my life xD. It's kind of like grinding in a videogame, you know, you do the same thing for multiple hours but it's still entertaining, somehow. Anyways, yeah, I guess I'll keep grinding.
